54Simple Things are The Best!
Wanting Better for Our Kids
I have been out of a Cult now for over 30 years. I was only 18 yrs old when I discovered that serving God was all I wanted to do and the street car named desire
was a Biblical Research Organization I thought(as many did) was IT!
Granted there was truth involved in it and certainly more bible than I had ever known and the most kind hearted people you could ever meet on Earth!
But I write today about my children who are all Adults now,and how I did everything to protect them from counterfiet "religions" and even though for years of going to differant churches
When they were just babies making sure they knew JESUS(the simple things that Yes, Jesus Loves You!
As I sat in there broken on the back row listening to preachers and digesting what I could and vomiting too much of the other. Lots to relearn, and unlearn ,rotate around and at the same time not get too hung up on it all,or drive yourself NUTS!
Trying to fix myself to understand God and all the time never mentioning I had been involved in Cult life. (and there was no Internet back then to click on for support)
For one thing even after I was out I didn't believe what I was involved in was really a CULT! That came with time... Education and Awareness .
Our children never knew about my past until they were over 18 years old. They just knew Mom and Dad believed in Jesus Christ and followed the Golden Rule...and kept it simple and saw God in Nature and everyday simple things, we didn't need to belong or join anything .
Our children grew up in Non Denominational,Pentecost,Southern Baptist, Catholic Churches and with each place learned, each all being the Body of Christ and ONE.
The are all very balanced people. Who know that the answer is "Jesus"
