How does it happen? That young adults are drawn more to Cults than any other people.
I believe it is that point of change or wanting to change,for the better...be that getting away from peer pressure or just getting away to find themselves.
That purpose and meaning in life and geared towards good and positive things for the future
Not so much financially but a fullfillment that money can not buy.
Cults are very easy to get involved in,the treatment(at first)is unconditional Love and Acceptance to the recruit.
So many people from varies of situations fall into this trap,be it a divorce or a broken home,
drugs or what have you it is a safety net in the beginning and the adventure is thrilling.
So many people I knew (including myself) were on there way to a career path in college when
they fell into the SNARE.
And If you have a Hunger for the Bible!
What could be more admirable than serving God?

I write this today without intention to attack the "people" of The Way International it is the "message" that is wrong I do want to expose.
Exposure and Education and Awareness of Truth. Truth so that they may be set FREE. As Galation 5:1 said "For it was for Freedom that Christ set us free NOt to be entangled with the yoke of bondage.
I truely believe in the heart of hearts their is a caring people decieved and being destroyed for lack of acurate knowledge of Truth!
I write for those lost betwen two worlds,for those who can not find there place in the Body of Christ.
For all those who over the years gave up on God and threw it all away.....you DO NOT HAVE TO.
I write for family members that lost loved ones through this organizations,that maybe they can find some peace in
knowing how it seemed on the inside,through ones eyes like camera in ones mind.

The thing about cults is that you don't believe you are in one when you are actually in one. You have to step outside of it to see the truth. It is like a fish in a sea of water. It doesn't know it is in water unless it gets hooked and pulled out of the consciousness of sea into the consciousness of air.

Thank you for writing this hub and I can see you care. I can see that the world of cults has touched you and you are glad you are free. Only one that has no spiritual side at all would defend them. I know that they themselves have no idea but need to be shown the light in just the right way so they are not so frightened that they run from their only hope. Jesus died to save sinners. Everyone that tries to get to heaven with some reasoning other than Scripture is in some cultish thinking. That's why when someone says "I believe" and you can point to Scripture and say "But this says something else" the person needs to rethink his position. Great hub.
